This Agreement is entered into between the Company and any individual or entity with full civil capacity who uses the services associated with the jpfinds.com website and application (hereinafter referred to as “the Customer”). This Agreement constitutes a formal public offer, intended to clearly set forth the terms of service for Customers wishing to utilize JPFinds’ services.

Article 1: Scope of the Agreement

1. JPFinds provides the following services to Customers (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”):

 – Purchasing consumer goods on behalf of Customers from online stores and secondhand marketplaces within Japan (hereinafter referred to as “Sellers”), in accordance with this Agreement and the Sellers’ terms;

 – Receiving, storing, and packaging goods at the Company’s warehouse (hereinafter referred to as “the Warehouse”) in preparation for international shipment;

 – Shipping goods to the address designated by the Customer via postal services, courier companies, or other transportation providers (hereinafter referred to as “Transportation Service Providers”), using cash-on-delivery or other agreed‑upon methods.

2. JPFinds charges Customers corresponding service fees according to the rates published on the website.

3. The customer agrees that the company will collect, store, process, and transmit their personal data in accordance with the Privacy and Cookie Policy.

4. The customer authorizes JPFinds to delegate the obligations set forth in this agreement to third parties when necessary.

5. By registering a JPFinds account, the customer is deemed to have accepted the terms of this agreement. The company reserves the right to unilaterally amend this agreement, and customers are advised to regularly check the website for updates.

Article 2: Obligations of Both Parties

1. JPFinds shall provide the services described in Article 1, as well as any other operations that do not violate this agreement, the website’s terms, or Singaporean law. The company is under no obligation to furnish the customer with records or proof of communications between the customer and sellers or logistics service providers.

2. The customer must promptly pay all fees associated with purchasing and shipping—including service charges, taxes, customs duties, and any applicable storage or handling fees—within the permitted storage period.

3. The customer shall provide all information required to complete the services (such as product links/options, delivery address, etc.) and ensure its accuracy.

4. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify which shipping methods are available at their location and to ensure that the purchased items comply with the regulations of the shipping service provider and the customs authorities of the destination country, including restrictions on size, weight, contents, and price.

5. JPFinds may provide additional services not listed on the website (either free of charge or for a fee), and their availability and associated costs may change without further notice.

6. Customers shall not use products purchased through JPFinds for the development, manufacture, or use of conventional weapons or weapons of mass destruction, nor shall they resell, transfer, or distribute such products to any third party that might use them for the aforementioned purposes. If JPFinds determines that there is a relevant risk, it reserves the right to restrict the purchase and international shipment of such items.

Article 3: Service Process

Placing an Order

1. For products that can be ordered via the e‑commerce platform and delivered to the warehouse, JPFinds agrees to purchase them on behalf of the customer from the seller.

2. Once payment has been made, the product will be purchased based on the information submitted by the customer through the “Add to Cart” function.

Receiving and Storing the Product

  1. Upon arrival at the warehouse, JPFinds will sign for receipt on your behalf and may store the item for up to 60 days.
  2. JPFinds is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of received items and assumes no liability for errors caused by sellers. Complaints regarding secondhand goods will only be accepted if “Photo Service” was used and the customer confirmed the item’s condition prior to shipment.
  3. Items may be stored for up to 60 days. If not processed within this period, they will be removed from the customer’s account without compensation. An extension will incur a fee of 50 JPY per day.
  4. JPFinds reserves the right to inspect received items and may refuse to ship any goods deemed unsuitable for export. Prohibited items will, where possible, be returned at the customer’s expense; otherwise, the customer will be charged for disposal.
  5. Once the customer creates a package through their account, JPFinds will pack the items according to the selected shipping method and preferences. If the originally chosen method becomes unavailable due to weight, size, or content restrictions, an alternative packaging solution will be employed.
  6. By default, JPFinds handles packaging independently. For special requests, customers may contact customer service. JPFinds will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, provided they do not compromise item safety and can be fulfilled using available resources. Additional operations unrelated to packaging—such as folding, disassembling, or partial disposal—may be declined or subject to extra charges, depending on the circumstances.
  7. If a customer requests repackaging after the initial packing has been completed, an additional fee will apply.

International Shipping

1. International shipping is conducted in accordance with the methods and rates listed in the “International Shipping Estimate” section of the website.

2. Payment of shipping fees signifies the customer’s confirmation of the package’s contents, costs, and dimensions. Unless it can be proven that an obvious error was made by JPFinds staff, no complaints regarding shipping charges or package dimensions will be accepted after payment has been made.

3. JPFinds’ services are considered complete upon handing over the merchandise to the shipping carrier. Our company assumes no responsibility for the actions of the shipping carrier and cannot control delivery speed. The shipping times displayed on the website are estimates only.

4. All packages are insured in accordance with the insurance policy outlined on the website.

5. In the event of delayed, damaged, or lost packages, customers must promptly report the issue following the procedures specified on the website. JPFinds will conduct an investigation and determine compensation on a case-by-case basis. If the customer refuses or fails to provide the necessary information, JPFinds reserves the right to deny compensation.

If the item has already been delivered to the JPFinds warehouse, we will, in accordance with the relevant platform’s policy, contact the seller on your behalf to request cancellation. If the cancellation is successful, the following fees will apply:

 – Domestic round-trip shipping costs within Japan

 – Any additional fees that the seller may require

 – The JPY 250 proxy service fee for this order is non‑refundable.

3. Return process after receiving an international package

We understand that sometimes the items you receive may not meet your expectations. If, upon receipt, you wish to return the item—for example, if you discover a quality issue that was not disclosed, excluding damage incurred during transit—our team will assist you with the process.

Our return processing procedure is as follows:

 – You submit a request: Contact our customer service, explain the reason, and submit a return request.

 – We contact the seller: Upon receiving your request, we will promptly reach out to the Japanese seller on your behalf to arrange the return.

 – Seller confirmation and processing: Once the seller confirms and agrees to the return, they typically complete the process—including issuing a refund—within 7 to 10 business days. Please note that if the return is processed, the following fees will apply:

   – International return shipping costs to Japan and domestic shipping within Japan (if the item does indeed have a quality issue, these shipping costs will be borne by the seller).

   – Any additional fees the seller may require.

   – The JPY 250 proxy service fee for this item is non‑refundable.

4. Example:

 – You receive a used electronic device and discover a functional defect not mentioned in the product description.

 – You submit a return request to JPFinds customer service and provide photos as evidence.

 – We contact the seller to explain the situation, and the seller approves your return request.

 – Once confirmed by the seller, the return process is initiated, and the seller will process your refund within 7–10 business days. You are responsible for covering the applicable return shipping costs and JPFinds’ service fee.

5. Important Notes:

 – Most Japanese sellers have very strict return deadlines. Be sure to submit your request within 5 days to ensure there is sufficient time for the item to arrive within the seller’s specified timeframe.

Article 4: Limitation of Liability and Force Majeure

1. Liability shall be exempted in cases where obligations cannot be fulfilled due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, wars, or pandemics.

2. JPFinds shall not be liable for any direct or indirect costs, damages, or losses arising from service errors, interruptions, or defects.

3. JPFinds is not responsible for the actions of third parties, including sellers, shipping service providers, banks, and payment systems. Customers agree not to hold JPFinds liable for any damages caused by such third parties.

4. JPFinds does not guarantee the quality or content of purchased items, nor does it provide any warranties regarding goods sold by sellers.

5. JPFinds is not liable for dishonest behavior on the part of sellers, such as delays, errors, or fraud. Customers are advised to select reputable sellers on their own.

6. JPFinds does not verify whether products comply with the customs regulations of the destination country, nor does it assume responsibility for any associated costs. Customers must ensure that the purchased items can be legally imported in accordance with local laws.

7. JPFinds will only provide compensation if it can be proven that the loss was directly caused by JPFinds personnel—for example, when the purchased item does not match the specified product or when the item is damaged. Compensation will be limited to the value of the item.

8. JPFinds is not responsible for the outcomes of any direct negotiations between customers and sellers.

9. Product titles and descriptions are provided by sellers and translated using an automated translation system. JPFinds assumes no liability for losses incurred by customers due to translation errors.

Article 5: Dispute Resolution

1. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall first be resolved through consultation.

2. If no settlement is reached through consultation, the dispute shall be submitted to judicial resolution. If JPFinds is the defendant, Singapore law shall apply and the matter shall be heard by the courts of Singapore; if the client is the defendant, the case shall be heard by the courts of the client’s place of residence.
