A wide range of items are prohibited for export from Japan, such as flammable substances, animals, and plants. Furthermore, each country has its own unique list of prohibited imports. Consequently, an item that successfully enters one country might be rejected by another.

・In addition to the items mentioned on the pages above, Japan Post also refuses to ship the following:
– Speakers (can be shipped via commercial courier)
– Mobile phone batteries, smartphone batteries
– E-cigarettes (e.g., IQOS)
– Products requiring ingredient safety certification (e.g., sunscreen, liquid/cream deodorants, liquid foundation, cleansers, etc.)
Furthermore, certain items cannot be shipped using specific shipping methods.
Postal Services (e.g., EMS, Air Parcel)
– EMS: Accessories and valuables such as rings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, etc., composed of precious metals (e.g., gold, silver, platinum).
– Surface Mail: Items containing lithium-ion batteries can only be shipped to a limited number of countries. (Note: Surface Mail currently cannot ship to China).
Commercial Courier (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS)
As inspections during international shipping via courier are generally stricter than with postal services, some items shippable via post cannot be sent using commercial couriers. Examples include:
– Food and beverages
– Hygiene products and cosmetics
– Alcoholic beverages
– Any type of liquid
If a parcel containing such items is sent via commercial courier, customs may dispose of it.
Important Notes:
– ECMS Express: Prohibited items vary by destination country. For example: Malaysia prohibits watches, helmets, CDs, DVDs, magazines, etc. Taiwan prohibits health/beauty devices. Please contact customer service for more specific details related to your destination.
Our company does not purchase items depicting children or individuals appearing to be minors in sexually suggestive clothing or nude, whether in photographs, videos, or AI-generated images. If a customer purchases such an item, it will be discarded without compensation, and the customer will be banned from using our services.
